We teach funky choreography to the latest music. At the end of each term we will have a mini show with the Modern students that don’t do exams to encourage performance and confidence within the students and in November ALL XCESS members will have the chance to perform in costume on stage!

  

We aim to build up confidence levels by providing a friendly and upbeat environment within which they will learn:

 Improving concentration levels by testing their memory in structured warm up and dance routines. (ALL XCESS students will have the optional chance to sit a Medal Award throughout the year. Jazz and Hip Hop students will also have their exam work to work towards which they will sit at the end of the year.

 
Work on flexibility during the stretching section, all to the latest music which is loud enough to sing along to.
 

I will be attending regular dance workshops to ensure we are up with all the latest moves and music  from NZ, America and Australia.

We have an awesome costume design team who create modern funky costumes you will want to wear again as well as a flattering comfortable uniform (uniform is not compulsory).  

We are situated in the Balmaclewen Intermediate dance room and Fairfield Community Hall, operating Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday and Friday afternoons from 3.15pm onwards.   Lessons are based on the school term of ten weeks. Our fees are $70 per term for half hour class 3-6 years and $80 per term 1hour class 7years plus (  BALMACEWEN) and $75 for 45minute class for all Levels and ages (FAIRFIELD)
  

*Invoices are given out by your teacher in
the third week of term. 

*Comftable suitable clothing to be worn to classes (eg no skirts or dresses), shorts or pants with stretch, t.shirts or singlets.

*Shoes must be worn, joggers, sneakers or dance shoes, plain black preferred but not necessary until November show time.

*Parents and siblings are to wait out side the hall unless arrangements have been made with the teacher, eg a new student.

*There are no lessons during public holidays. Lessons missed due to public holidays will not be charged.

*If a student has a medical condition that could affect their mental of physical behavior in class XCESS must be advised.
